Web 2.0

Web 2.0 as a metrology of projecting systems makes web connections better as fast as more people get used to it. This web tool sometimes is called as a new version of the World Wide Web. Software development and increasing amount of users makes it rather popular nowadays. This system is for interaction and communication in social media with a help of diverse web sites and communities, such as in the World Wide Web. This Web is used successfully starting from its creation in 1999. Nevertheless it has its own characteristics and good and bad points. In this paper we will describe Web 2.0 as it is and try to show on examples its successful and unsuccessful ways of usage.

First of all, we can say that Web 2.0 being non standard way of web site realization positions itself as a new Web and improved software system. Web 2.0 is successfully used in classrooms for experience sharing and gaining. This Web allows students to use an interactive whiteboard, Google Earth, Google docs and software such as Ethepad, Audacity etc. Moreover, all businesses that had adopted Web 2.0 believed that there where advantages in employing the technology. Increase of web traffic and good search engine are the most distinct benefits of Web 2.0 (Andrea Au, 2010).

Web 2.0 uses many applications, as Adobe Flex, Ajax and JavaScript. Most of them are successfully working through the Web. Nevertheless, some of them like Flash Player lost their effectiveness after introduction of HTML5 in 2010 year.

To sum up, we can say, that Web 2.0 as the new form of Web has its distinct characteristics. Operating with different software it could be used for communication and program work. As in every system, there are some programs that lost their actual role and get reduced.
